David Brady with son, Michael

About This Site

David R. Brady was my father. Unfortunately he died in 1966 when he was only 61 years of age. At that time I was only 21 years old. I did not have the time or inclination to find out more about my father's achievements before now. At the end of 2010 I retired from Smith Barney as a stockbroker. I finally had the time to dig into my father's past. Having Google available was a necessity to find out about my father's patents. The poster that I used as the cover for the website was very exciting. He put the poster together from news clippings about his radical baseball shoe. Going through my father's papers I started putting together the genius that drove my father.

Also, being a lover of baseball was a help. It also helped that my wife, Pat, and I are graduates of Wayne State University where my father spent WWII helping the war effort. Also I have been an adjunct professor at Wayne since 1984 teaching money/banking and investment classes.

I think you can tell I am very proud of my father. I am so privileged to tell his story here.
